Why Does the National Conference of Christians and Jews Support Hitler?

How many people sat silently while Jews were hunted down and murdered?Now they are telling you it never happened, trying to rewrite your history as they have rewritten the history of the Native American.
Native Americans have been hunted down for centuries in America. The National Coalition of Christians (recently changed their name to National Conference for Community and Justice) and Jews ignore this legacy of hatred and do nothing while Native American children are made into mascots.
Jews should remember when they stereotyped your people. You were called an ugly race who in the way of their happiness and success. How many listened to a real Jew speak the truth? How many went to a Sell Out Jew to betray his own people and laughed at them while Jews suffered?
How many Christians sat silently and let them do it, knowing you were a helpless minority?
Remember how they did it, by influencing children when they were young. In schools, youth organizations, through sporting events and camps, teaching them that racial, ethnic and religious supremacy over Jews was a fun thing to do. Do you remember what this bigotry yielded against Jews? The same bigotry has been used in the United States against the Native American.

Today our people are stereotyped and mocked while you sit silent. Have you have forgotten the memory and sacrifice of your own people, or have they died in vain? Don't you remember how many Native Americans gave their lives to stop the persecution of Jews in World War II?

But they roasted their marshmallows with a Mennorah?

Adolf Hitler, architect of genocide for European Jews openly complimented the United States of America on the efficiency with which it exterminates Native Americans. While he fell far short of his goal of completing his genocide against Jews the United States has achieved an extermination factor of 97% against Native Americans and continues its vow to finish.

When I returned to discuss our conversation this afternoon with other members of our organization they were much less receptive to working with you than I was. They were appalled and disgusted with NCCJ's position of doing nothing about the issue of "Indian" mascots. It has been decided here that your group is unable to address the issues of religious bigotry and hatred directed toward Native Americans.
It is obvious that your dislike for publicly denouncing the practice of making Native American children into mascots confirms the worst sentiments expressed by minority communities about your organization. It has been brought to our attention that Jews and Christians in your organization are too heavily invested in the economics of making Native Americans into mascots and are unwilling to stand up in public to denounce the prejudice and race hatred this practice requires. This is shocking as Jews have endured a racial genocide that is parallel to that which we are still struggling against in this country.
It is even more shocking when we remember that Native Americans fought and died in World War II to protect Jews from being exterminated by Nazi hatred. Native Americans who returned to religious hatred in their own land, a land they gave to immigrants who have come here for four centuries fleeing religious persecution. When will you give the freedom you enjoy to the Native American who gave it to you?

Many American Christians publicly declare their beliefs of religious superiority over all other religions and openly practice bigotry. We have seen this in action against the Native American people in the United States for 500 hundred years. We know that Hitler's Germany of 1936 was 97% Christian, a group which slaughtered 8 million Jews and 2 million others ultimately taking the lives of 50 million people in a world war for their bigotry. Perhaps Christians cannot help themselves and hatred is what their religion is about but we are outraged that Jews have chosen to ignore their own victimization and history of oppression, selecting instead to do to the Native American what has been done to Jews for centuries.
Your organization has done nothing on this issue in Wichita while it continues to take victims, yet you have had many opportunities to take action. We do, with regret, turn to others as we have with you, asking them to join with us and others on this issue. It is unfortunate that you have put us in the position that we must point to your organization as we do the NAACP as examples of the white supremacist at work promoting
hatred against Native Americans.

We are not your mascots and we must say that your silence will not continue to make us into your mascots for you will become known to the world for how you turn your backs on religious oppression under your own noses. When you turn your backs on the oppression of your neighbor and his family you turn your backs on your own dignity. A dignity that Jewish families died defending at the hands of Nazis.
How long will your people stand in the shadows of darkness counting your corporate money donations wishing you had dignity to show your faces in public when anyone talks about those who died at the hands of religious bigots?

EDITORS NOTE: This article was written in mid year 1997. The Organization NCCJ has since changed its legal name to National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ). It has taken this organization 3 full years to respond to this appeal and it has been done, sort of... The national offices of NCCJ passed a resolution in July of 2001 condemning the Indian Mascot. Local Wichita offices have not taken it to Wichita Public Schools, Kansas State Department of Education or to any school that has a mascot in Kansas neither have they asked their local Wichita North High Redskins to change their ways.
